Gateway’s Gt5438 has everything you would need for common computer use, like downloading and listening to music, surfing the internet, emailing, and writing papers, poems, or that book you’ve been working on for the last two years.
The Gt5438 could almost be considered a gaming computer with its 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 2 GB of DDR memory. Alas, that is not meant to be due to its integrated (i.e., unworthy of gaming) Intel graphics card. This graphics card has no memory of its own, instead sharing up to 224 MB of system memory. While this might work for real-time strategy games like World of Warcraft or Lord of the Rings, it won’t come close to generating enough frames per second in Crysis or Call of Duty 4. Luckily, the Gt5438 has 320 GB of hard drive space, plenty to store your music and video collections.
While Gateway’s Gt5438 might not be powerful enough for hardcore gamers, it’s perfect for casual home use, and even general business use.
