I was going to wait until Monday to tell you, but Alienware lifted the embargo on their new All Powerful gaming computer, and it's official: It's a new M17x gaming laptop with enough power to BLOW YOUR MIND MAN!

All right, that was a little over zealous, but still, this has some sweet new specs, and due to Alienware's increased production capacity through Dell, the M17x will be available in 35 countries.

Straight from the press release...

As the newest member of Dell's premium performance brand, the new Alienware M17x features:

  • New anodized aluminum case

  • Personalized engraved nameplate

  • Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad overclockable CPU

  • Dual 1GB GeForce GTX 280M GPUs in SLI

  • Up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM at 1333MHz

  • Up to 1TB Raid 0/1 7,200rpm hard drives

  • Optional solid state hard drives

  • WUXGA 1920 x 1200 LCD

  • Internal Wireless-n

  • Alienware Command Center

  • AlienFX ILLUMINATED keyboard

  • Windows Vista 64-bit

Having played with their M17 gaming laptop, which is a high-performance yet economical version of the M17x, I can say that this thing must be a screamer. I'll let you know when I get one in for review. In the meantime, I'll be at E3 next week and hopefully I'll get my hands on this bad boy.
