The Velocity Raptor Signature Edition is, simply put, the best. It has the best components, and will gobble up whatever you throw at it faster than you’ve previously experienced. When this monster was conceived, it’s obvious that no expense was spared, and that is passed on to you the consumer. You pay for quality, and the top gaming PC will never be cheap, not in our reality.
We won’t be able to list everything great about this machine, as that’d take too long, so let’s start with the things that matter most in a gaming computer: RAM, CPU, GPU, and storage.
For RAM it’s got 2GB of DDR2, in 1GB sticks, which seems to be the standard for gaming machines. For a CPU it has the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 quad core, at 2.66 GHz. It has a pair of Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX that combine to form a graphics behemoth with 1.5GB of RAM total. Finally, storage is four 150GB, 10,000 rpm SATA 150 hard drives, connected to a PCI Express RAID controller.
What does all this geekspeak mean to you? It’s fast. SOOOOO fast. Benchmarking tests for anything from multitasking to gaming put the Velocity Raptor Signature Edition at the top or near it for nearly every category. You won’t find a better gaming computer right out of the box than the Velocity Raptor Signature Edition.
