The Asus K series of laptops are a solid line of models for everyday computing. When you upgrade from the basic specs you can turn this laptop into a good multimedia machine. In the more basic models of the K series you will find an Intel Core i3 processor that will achieve processing speeds anywhere from 1.8GHz to 2.3GHz. You can always choose to upgrade your laptop with a model that has an i5 or i7 processor if you are looking for a computer than can achieve processing speeds up to 3.3GHz.

The bulky design of these laptops is where the K series falls a bit short. The 15-inch model we reviewed measures 15.2 x 9.9 x 1.1 inches (W x D x H), which is a bit wider and deeper than the best laptops that we reviewed. This laptop also tips the scales at 5.5 pounds, which may be daunting if you are carrying your laptop around all day for work or school.

Even if you upgrade your memory from 4GB to 8GB, you are still well short of the maximum amount of RAM that other laptops have to offer. The hard drive storage in the K series comes stock with 320GB of space that can be upgraded up to 1TB, which is up to the standards of other premium laptops.

This laptop computer features Wi-Fi and optional Bluetooth connectivity. There are several ports located on this device, including three to four USB ports (depending on the model) and an HDMI port. There is also an SD card reader as well as a built-in microphone and a webcam for video chats.

The Asus laptop features a two-year warranty on the product’s hardware; the battery has a one-year warranty. You can reach a customer service representative through email, telephone or live chat support if you have any problems or concerns. We called the telephone support line, and representatives there were able to answer most of the questions we had that the live chat operators were not.

ASUS K Summary:
8.3/10

The Asus K series of laptop computers offer a variety of features. The live chat support was decent, but telephone support was much more helpful. The large dimensions and weight of this laptop can make it difficult to carry for long periods throughout the day.
