Fujitsu isn't a well-known name when it comes to laptop computers, but their Lifebook NH532 is a solid device for high performance computing and multimedia entertainment. Powerful yet portable, the Lifebook features a 17.3-inch HD screen, a third generation processor and a mid-level graphics card while still boasting a battery life of over six hours on one charge. Aside from the lower-grade graphics card, we are most disappointed in the laptop's case. The plastic casing simply doesn't feel as sturdy or durable as we would have liked.

The Lifebook NH532 has a powerful 2.3GHz processor. With Turbo Boost improvements to 3.1GHz, you will notice a considerable difference in how quickly this computer performs all kinds of tasks, from booting up to loading a program. The model we looked at has 6GB of RAM but has slots available for up to 16GB. This is the most of an upgrade possibility we've seen in all of our laptop reviews. The Lifebook also has a huge 1TB hard drive.

The graphics card is an Intel HD Graphics 4000 card, and it's integrated into the CPU. While this is a fairly standard laptop graphics card, it is not powerful enough to run graphics-heavy games and programs that require a high-end graphics card. That being said, it is sufficiently powerful enough for playing Blu-ray movies, editing photos and working with other high-definition images. The Fujitsu Lifebook NH532 features a 17.3-inch widescreen display. This screen has a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels, which provides images that are crisp with vivid colors. The display features anti-glare technology and a Crystal View LED backlight.

One drawback to the design is the fragile-feeling plastic that houses this laptop. While you aren't going to take this laptop rock climbing, it doesn't feel particularly sturdy. In our testing of the laptop, just picking it up gave us the feeling that it could easily break.

This laptop computer comes with all the basic computing features. There is both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. You can choose to have a Blu-ray Disc combo drive included on the device. There are a variety of ports, including a four-in-one card reader, four USB ports and a HDMI port. We are pleased to see the HDMI port on this laptop, which allows you to connect your laptop to a large monitor or HDTV. There also is a built-in microphone and a 1.3-megapixel webcam included on the device for web chats.

If any questions or concerns arise while using this laptop computer, you can contact a Fujitsu customer service representative through email or phone support. There is no live chat support available. For additional assistance, there is a user forum available on the Fujitsu website. You can also find driver and software downloads on the Fujitsu website. There is a three-year warranty included on the laptop.

Fujitsu Lifebook NH532 Summary:

The Fujitsu Lifebook NH532 is a powerful device, position to help you accomplish daily tasks such as video or photo editing, graphic design or just old-fashioned emailing. The biggest drawback is the casing. It just doesn’t feel as sturdy and durable as cases on the best multimedia laptops. But even though this computing device lacks a high-end graphics card, the Intel Core i5 processor, 6GB of RAM and high-resolution display enhance the Fujitsu Lifebook NH532 's overall performance.
