HP Announces Two New Netbooks (Mini 5101 and ProBook 4310)
We liked the look of the HP Mini 1000. It sure was classy. Now with its two latest netbook releases, HP has again redefined what a classy netbook can look like. We're thinking HP is aiming for the mobile professional and these two models are something no business man or woman would be ashamed to pull out of their bag. Specs and details to follow. The starting price kind of takes these guys almost out of the netbook range, with the HP ProBook 4310 coming in at just shy of $800. But it's pretty and is good for working with spreadsheets. The thing we like about the 4310 is that it can come with any sort of customization option. Any kind of features you can think of ... that would work in a netbook ... and are not too expensive ... you can probably have it.
Along with that HP has also released the HP Mini 5101. This netbook isn't as customizable as the 4310, but there are still a few features worth talking about. We really like the HP mini 1000, but hated the flush keys and like the separation of the keys on the 5101. Makes it a lot easier to type and still look like an intelligent person. The 5101 will be available in July for $450.
