For all we love netbooks, there are a few things we wish could be improved. Like a veritable wishing star, AMD has swooped in with its latest chip the RS880 that, AMD says, will be 15 percent faster than anything currently available. Is it true? Has someone actually found a way to make a netbook something we not only want to use but would really enjoy using?

According to The Inquirer AMD is coming out with a new chipset that will up the ante for low-end machines like netbooks. What would 15% faster give you, the netbook user? It means netbooks could get through HD (720p) video. Whether or not you’d notice the HD detail on a screen that small is up to you, but it’ll be available nevertheless.
