The Samsung X360: Perfect for Tight Spaces and Germophobes
Samsung recently unveiled its latest lighter than air notebook, the X360. This new lightweight notebook weighs an impressive 2.8 pounds. It's not hard to see that Samsung has the Apple MacBook Air squarely in its sights. While the X360 isn't quite as thin as the MacBook, it's probably close enough that it doesn't matter. Sure you can slip The MacBook Air into an interoffice mail envelope and send it, but just because you can, doesn't mean you would.
Besides, the Samsung X360 has plenty of other offerings to make it attractive, especially if you are planning on using it with other devices. It features 3 USB ports, a built-in HDMI connection, a 34mm express slot and standard VGA output.
The Samsung X360 is available in different colors, just in case you need to color coordinate your technology. Now every time you open your notebook at Starbucks to work on your screenplay, people will know just how cool you really are by your scarlet red laptop.
And speaking of the outer case, it's built out of "durable magnesium alloy to provide amazing strength and superior reliability." This is what Samsung refers to as "Protect-O-Edge" casing. I could think of about a hundred better names for it than this, but it really does look cool and feels solid.
Last but not least, the Samsung X360 features Silver Nano Technology. What this means is a bunch of nano-sized silver ion powder has been sprinkled on the keyboard, and this powder will keep it bacteria free for even longer. Perfect for the germophobic tendencies you've been trying to hide.
The new X360 is only available in Europe now, but let's hope Samsung doesn't take too long to realize that folks here in the U.S. like cool new technology too!
