May 17th is the supposed date that Verizon will begin selling the HP Mini 1151NR netbook, and it happens to be the same day Verizon releases the MiFi Portable Hotspot.

What does this mean? How much does it cost? Find out after the jump.

According to Boy Genius Report, the HP Mini netbook will sell for $199 with a 2-year contract. Given its launch on the same day as the MiFi, the two might come as a bundle. Judge for yourself whether or not the two would be a good deal by the specs.

HP Mini 1151nr Netbook Details:
80GB, 4200RPM hard drive
1GB max memory
Integrated Intel Graphics
Integrated 10/100 LAN, Bluetooth, WiFi b/g
1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU
10.1-inch screen
2.45 pounds
3-cell battery
Windows XP Home

MiFi Portable Hotspot Details:
The MiFi includes a radio that will connect to Verizon's 3G data network, similar to a standard laptop dongle. It also doubles as a Wi-Fi hotspot, and will allow up to five PCs or other Wi-Fi-enabled devices to connect to the hotspot simultaneously. We got a look at the MiFi at CTIA, and we have to say we were pretty impressed. The range was excellent and it's just the kind of thing you'll want if you have a 3G wireless plan but a Wi-Fi capable netbook.

The MiFi runs on a rechargeable battery, which will last 4 hours on a single charge. Plans start at $30 for 250MB of monthly data, or $60 for 5GB of monthly data. These two plans require a two-year subscription, but allow you to buy the MiFi for $100 after rebates. Verizon will also allow users to buy the MiFi at full retail price and use it when-needed at a rate of $15 for 24 hours of access.

It's Monday, and far too early in the day for me to do the math for you, so grab your calculators!
