In more netbook related news; rumors of a new Aspire One with an 11.6 inch screen and a slew of spiffy specs has surfaced and has the netbook geeks (myself included) all a buzz.

Although at first glance the new Aspire One looks deceptively similar to its predecessors, except it has screen real estate. The 11.6 inch screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio and 768 resolution. That's High Def baby.

Although it's exciting that the Aspire's screen is bigger it's what is on the inside that counts. The new One is sporting the new Intel Atom Z530 processor, the Intel SCH USW15S chipset and an integrated GMA500 graphics core.

The new insides lead the computer to use a whole lot less resources, significantly helping what is the Aspire One's biggest problem: battery life. The new battery boasts 4 hours with the standard battery, but they will have an 8 hour "high capacity" option.

You may now commence with the oohs and ahhs.
